Women Farmers...
What sort of support do women farmers from our area need?
Might get to town once a week for groceries then hurry back to feed stock or rush to the schoolbus pickup point thirty kms from home, or hubby needs that part in a hurry. Cant make it to aerobics because that windmill broke down and now the pipe needs to be changed so the water can be pumped until theres time to pull the mill and thirsty stock might go wandering... one of these days i'll somehow find time for a cuppa with that friend in town...but i have to be on standby to shift that field bin...
do we need support?
do we need help to look after ourselves for a change?
Are we invisible to our community because we arent in town every day or cant commit to a sport team?
Do we live a full and satisfied life, have alot of fun along the way, get to work in a loving environment, celebrate our achievements and be proud of who we are? farming women...
